Our security measures are the following:
VEHICLES
One follow vehicle will be looking after each group (considering the peloton will split in two). You will always find members of our staff along the road with a vehicle available for any requirement.
COURSE MARSHAL
One course marshal per group with extensive national and international experience will be accompanying the participants to assist them as needed and providing recommendations to maximize their cycling skills.
MEDICAL SERVICES
We recommend that you take a medical exam before the tour. Remember that the health of the riders is the sole responsibility of each one and NOT of the Organizing Committee. Professional medical assistance will be offered to cover any eventuality that may arise throughout the route.
MECHANIC ASSISTANCE
Professional french mechanic will be on-site assisting all participants with bike assembly, review good function of bikes after each riding and help any mechanical issue during or after the ride.

We’ll begin our journey again from the majestic Hacienda El Carmen, ready to immerse ourselves in an adventure that will take us through the best of Jalisco.
Our first stop will be Etzatlán, which we’ll skirt to head toward the historic town of Magdalena. During the journey, we’ll cross what was once Jalisco’s second-largest lake, now converted into fertile farmland. Upon arriving in Magdalena, we’ll tour its downtown area, a true journey back in time steeped in history and character.
The excitement continues as we pedal another 20 km, passing through captivating agave fields, a landscape recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Our final destination of the day is Tequila, a place steeped in tradition, home to the oldest distilleries of the iconic Mexican spirit. We’ll enter through its picturesque main street, enjoying the charm of its cobblestone streets, until we reach the vibrant main square.

What happen if I need cancel the Trip?
We have a flexible cancelation policy – please take a look at our cancellation policy at the time of booking.
By Client Initiative
For any reason, all cancellations by the Client must be submitted to Alterbike Trips in writing (either on paper or electronically).
Unless the cancellation occurs within the required time frame, the deposit remains acquired by Alterbike Trips, which may also claim the balance of the amount according to the following conditions:
- Free cancellation more than 45 days before the reservation date.
- Cancellation between 45 and 30 days before the service date: 50% of the services’ balance is due.
- Cancellation between 30 and 15 days before the service date: 70% of the services’ balance is due.
- Cancellation less than 15 days before the service date: the total balance of the services is due.
Cancellation insurance is available; it is the Client’s responsibility to inquire with insurance companies.
Alterbike Trips can connect the Client with their insurer to arrange for cancellation insurance.
By Initiative of Alterbike Trips
In the event of cancellation of this Agreement by Alterbike Trips prior to the service being rendered, for any reason—except for force majeure as outlined in the relevant article, due to the act of a third party, or for failure to pay within the established deadlines—Alterbike Trips will refund the Client all sums already received.
No other compensation may be requested by the Client.
In case of force majeure or the act of a third party, another service period will be proposed to the Client. If the Client cannot accept the newly proposed period, Alterbike Trips will proceed to refund the received deposit.
In both cases, the restitution of the amounts owed will be sent to the Client by certified mail with acknowledgment of receipt within 15 days from the notification of the cancellation.
Is insured included?
Insurance is not included in our tour. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.
Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we’ll ask you for details of your insurance providor before you travel.
